The East Bay's suburban office market can be divided in two: a North market centering on Walnut Creek's mid-rise office buildings and low-rise parks; a South market consisting primarily of Pleasanton and San Ramon's recently built mid-rise office parks. The North market's most competitive office districts are in the large cities of Concord and Walnut Creek including the Pleasant Hill BART station area. Walnut Creek's downtown area contains high-rise buildings that compete with San Francisco for tenants.
