CBRE Grows Retail Platform in Virginia

CBRE announced today the expansion of the company’s retail platform in Virginia. Senior Vice President Wood Belcher offices in Richmond, Virginia to grow his successful retail business and services in Florida to include Virginia and will represent high-profile retailers and landlords in both states. Vice President Fiona Blackmore joins CBRE’s Norfolk office to continue growing the company’s retail presence in the Hampton Roads market.

Originally from Virginia, Mr. Belcher will join Senior Vice President Susan Jones in the Richmond office and CBRE’s retail services platform to provide advice, guidance, and transaction services to retail clients in the state. Similarly, Ms. Blackmore will work with Associate Margaret Anne Harrison to expand CBRE’s retail offerings in the Hampton Roads market.

Mr. Belcher joined CBRE’s national retail practice in Florida in 2002 to lead the statewide investor services platform. Within this platform, he led the retail development group, which specialized in land acquisition for developers/users and coordinated the third-party leasing program for shopping centers. He is representing high-profile retailers such as Wawa, 24 Hour Fitness and Navy Federal Credit Union in a tenant representative capacity in Florida, as well as Regions Bank and TD Bank in a disposition capacity. He also works on selective landlord accounts, merchandizing shopping centers. A few of his landlord clients have included Consolidated Tomoka, Trammell Crow and Met Life Investment Management, NASCAR, and TriOut Advisors.

Ms. Blackmore is a versatile and well-respected professional who has been in the retail commercial real estate leasing and development industry for 16 years. She brings a wide range of leasing, sales, and development experience to CBRE’s retail practice. Fiona has led transactions in all facets of commercial real estate from build-to-suit single tenant deals to super regional power center leasing and sales. She previously worked at Parker Burnell Real Estate Group and was a partner at Venture Realty Group (formerly Commercial Real Estate Services & Ellis Gibson Development Group) for 14 years where she worked with prominent local and institutional developers and landlords, and local and national tenants throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Mr. Belcher served as an inaugural member of both CBRE’s National Retail Advisory Council and Retail Development Group. Previously, he served as Director/Vice President for the Hampton Roads retail division of CBRE from 1998-2002.
