Howard Jenkins joined CBRE | Raleigh in August 2016 and oversees the ‘Research Triangle’ as an integral member of CBRE Southeast Multifamily.
Howard’s expertise spans the disposition of existing multifamily (“MF”) assets/portfolios, on behalf of institutional and private clients, MF land sales, and the capitalization of MF/MXU development projects.
Howard brings a unique background featuring 14 years of private equity and investment banking experience.
Most recently, he spent 11 years with Federal Capital Partners (“FCP”), a privately held real estate investment company that has invested in or financed +$9.3 billion in assets since its 1999 founding.
At FCP, Howard’s scope of responsibilities included asset management of +3.9K MF units in the Carolinas ranging from workforce housing to Class A, mixed-use. His full-life-cycle acquisition/financing, asset management and disposition experience spans multifamily, commercial and mixed-use assets in the greater Mid-Atlantic aggregating +$900 million of AUM and +$200 million in project costs.
Prior to FCP, Howard’s professional experience included an acquisition role at Nautic Partners, a middle market private equity firm that has managed +$9.5 billion of assets since its 1986 founding, and investment banking at Prudential Securities in their Financial Institutions Group, based in New York City.
