Brian Hutcherson is the Regional Manager for the Western Region in CBRE’s Public Institutions & Education Solutions practice. In this role, Brian advises and represents federal, state, county, municipal, and education clients on their real estate strategies, accessing specialty practice lines and services from across CBRE’s global platform. As a result, Brian provides solutions ranging from strategic planning, and transaction management, to development advisory advice and representation for public sector and education clients in California, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah.
Brian currently advises on a wide range of projects, including a 10-acre transit-oriented development in Oceanside, CA on behalf of the North County Transit District, the development of a new headquarters for Utah Transit Authority, the redevelopment of a City-owned asset for the City of Peoria, AZ, and the development of two VA Hospital facilities in Kansas and Tennessee. He also advises multiple municipal clients on their portfolio management and acquisition and disposition strategies ranging from fee simple purchases and sales, to ground leases, leases, and public-private partnerships. This currently includes the acquisition of a new headquarters for the San Mateo County Transit District, land acquisitions for the Santa Clara County Housing Authority, and the disposition of 10,000 acres of land for the City of Santa Clara.
From his 20+ years as an active-duty Marine, Brian brings a depth of strategic planning, leadership, and project management expertise to the practice. He is adept at leading diverse teams with diverse backgrounds in achieving their strategic objectives.
