In spite of the current economic uncertainties looming over many office markets across the country, Cambridge recorded positive absorption for the three of the past four quarters. The 84,000 sq. ft. of growth helped availability decrease by 70 basis points (bps) to 24.4% while vacancy slightly increased by 30 bps to 20.9%. The decrease in availability was driven by one large tech occupier in Cambridge deciding to withdraw their sublease space for re-occupancy and another tech company expanding into 20,000 sq. ft.
